New in the 2022-2023 school year, The Recruitment Coordinator helps IC communicate with potential new members, and works with the Communications Committee to help promote and advertise IC to new groups of people. |

Diversity & Inclusion seeks to educate our members by connecting them to resources, letting them know about campus events, and connecting/collaborating with Culture Centers and other IU organizations. D&I is a part of our mission to make sure that everyone has space and voice in our organization. |

[email protected] [email protected] The Family Committee provides each member with a family of 7-10 women/non-binary individuals with whom they can get to know on a more personal level throughout the semester. Family heads help to facilitate these relationships by planning family outings every few weeks. These family outings could be big social gatherings, philanthropic/service contributions, or even a casual craft night; all depending upon the members' preferences and availability. |

They do this by organizing intramural sports teams, teams to run in local races, and groups of women/non-binary individuals to participate in various fitness-oriented activities throughout campus and Bloomington. |

Little 500 team consists of Independent Council's Little 500 riders and plans team workout schedules, informs riders on important race information, and raises awareness for the team through social media. The Little 500 Team is also responsible for raising funds in order to provide IC riders with necessary equipment. |

Each member participates in an orientation process designed to familiarize each member with our core values of friendship, leadership, service, community, and acceptance by completing different tasks and attending certain events. |

[email protected] [email protected] The Philanthropy Committee is dedicated to giving back to the Bloomington community by volunteering their time to those in need. They plan and organize one philanthropy event per semester, which is voted on by Independent Council members. They also collaborate with outside organizations to organize various volunteer opportunities for members throughout the school year. |

Social Committee puts on social events for Independent Council! They have focused on planning events like tailgates, movie nights, and IC Formal! This committee is crucial for helping form bonds between members through fun activities. |

The Spirit Committee designs, orders, and organizes the apparel for Independent Council. IC apparel promotes our organization, social events, and philanthropic events IC members participate in throughout the year. |
